Schoeps WSR MS CI Basket-Type Windscreen with Windjammer for M/S, incl. Active cables for Colette
The WSR MS consists of an elastic suspension (AMS_) and a basket-type windscreen with Windjammer. It is intended for one or two small microphones. It allows mono as well as M/S stereo recordings.
Suitable microphones are SCHOEPS CCM_L compact microphones as well as MK_ microphone capsules with KC (for mono) or KCY (for stereo) active cable.

Overview
Microphones required for M/S: CCM 8 Lg (figure-8) and, e.g. CCM 4 Lg (cardioid) or CCM 41 Lg (supercardioid)
The required cables are described under "application".
The WSR MS is available in three variants with the cable already included. The forward ends of the cables are made of a thin, especially flexible material, providing good isolation from solid-borne sound. The output cable is especially durable. The Windjammer is included.
WSR MS CI
- for MK_ microphone capsules

- extension cable (not included): e.g. KS 5 I (5 m long) for connecting the unit to the SCHOEPS VMS 5 U stereo microphone amplifier or the VST 62 IU stereo microphone preamplifier.
WSR MS LI

The joint of the WSR MS_ has got a 3/8" inner thread by which it can be mounted onto corresponding threaded studs (e.g. of booms or our STR support rods).
A fur-like Windjammer - the WJ MS - is included to considerably enhance the efficiency of the wind noise attenuation.
Application
The following cables are necessary for the WSR MS:
for CCM_L compact microphones:
MONO:
the K 5 LU cable included with the CCM_L when shipped
STEREO:
two of the cables mentioned above or a Y-shaped cable, e.g. KLY 115/0,25 I. It has got two Lemo input connectors for CCM_L and a miniature output connector.

The output cable is 250 mm long and made of an especially durable material. It is also available in another version, having an output cable with a length of 5 meters. Type designation: KLY 115/5 I
As an extension and adapter to XLR-5, the 5 m long KS 5 IU cable is available.
Additionally to the version of the Y-shaped cable with miniature connector at the end of the output cable, a version with XLR-5 connector is available. Type designation: KLY 115/0,25 U or KLY 115/5 U with 0.25 m or 5 m length of the output cable. Also here the forward ends are flexible while the output ends are made of a rugged material.
for MK_ microphone capsules:
MONO:
e.g. a KC 5g cable with a length of 5 meters
STEREO:
two KC_ cables or a Y-shaped cable as, for example, the KCY 115/0,25 Ig. The forward ends of this cable is made of a thin, especially flexible material, providing good isolation from solid-borne sound. They have a length of 115 mm. The output cable is 250 mm long and made of an especially rugged cable. The output cable has got a miniature output connector.
The KCY cable is also available, e.g. with an output cable having a length of 5 m. Type designation: KCY 115/5 Ig
This Y-cable can be connected with the VST 62 IUg stereo microphone amplififer or the stereo microphone preamplifier VMS 5 U.
