Time Code Slate Display Module
Replaced by: ACN-LS2D
The Lockit Timecode LED Display from Ambient Recording is the electronic display section of the Lockit Slate and also serves as a fully functional, compact, standalone display for documentary or desktop use. The display is housed in a machined, pearl-blasted, and anodized aluminum body enabling it to withstand rough production conditions.
Main Benefits:
Overview
The unit requires four AA batteries to power it. It is equipped with light and motion sensors, allowing the brightness to be automatically adjusted to the local light situation, and the display flips when turned upside down. The LED Display has Ambient Clockit Network support, metadata, clap time transfer, and logging allowing it to be a fully functional, generator-buffered timecode transceiver with the flexibility of a wireless timecode system without the fear of dropouts.
The Time Code Display also offers a variable timecode offset to compensate for processing delays of digital cameras. When plugged into a computer, it transforms into a MIDI timecode interface with LTC / MIDI timecode conversion and big timecode LED display. This enables the unit to sync with multiple cameras and a Pro Tools workstation. The Display also features a built-in Supercap, enabling it to hold timecode for more than ten minutes after loss of power, which means that changing batteries does not stop the display. The LED Display fits into the Lockit Slate, which is available separately.
